Founded in 1963, C&CR is the respected journal of the Headmasters’ & Headmistresses’ Conference (HMC) schools. It contains authoritative editorials of interest to all those who create and maintain the high standards associated with independent schools. This magazine is read by heads, bursars and the key teaching staff of these schools.
The HMC represents the heads of 260 leading independent schools in the UK which aim to provide excellence in education. Schools whose heads are members of HMC are renowned worldwide and are at the forefront of educational excellence. They are prominent among UK independent schools which, in 2005, spent more that £551 million on improving their facilities and providing new ones. (ISC census 2006)
